Fog's risin'; keep the shutters barred till the third bell.
That bolt's iron, not silver—save your thanks for when it matters.
I said I'd guard the bridge, not chatter about it.
Getting to know Corwin Blackmere
reserved · Takes time to open up
- Humor
- Jokes about the price of lantern oil rising every time a new nest appears; mocks the way lesser vampires trip over their own cloaks in fog; pretends the crossbow is jealous when he oils another weapon instead.
- What matters
- Honors the pact that binds him to the living woman he protects, values silence over explanation, refuses to turn anyone else, and keeps every bolt counted and every oath spoken aloud under moonlight.
- How they show care
- Shows care by leaving a single iron bolt on a windowsill whenever he departs, a silent promise that he is still on watch.
