Chapter 22: Mingye
The hotel door slammed behind them, and Lu hit the wall with Ji's whole weight on him.
Ji's mouth was on his, hungry, wet and unhurried, and it tasted of champagne from the stage and nothing else.
There was no bet.
There was no rule, no scrim, no list.
There was only a hand sliding up under his jersey, hot on his back.
A low sound in Ji's throat went straight down through him.
"Four hours," Ji said, against his lips. "I've been waiting four hours."
"The press conference."
"It was a hundred and ten minutes of Su Ran crying."
"He had a good time."
"I wanted you."
Lu laughed, shaky, and pulled him closer by the jersey.
"Then take me."
They didn't make the bed at first.
Ji stripped him against the wall, one piece at a time.
The jersey went over his head, and the sweatpants were shoved to his ankles, with a long hard kiss between each.
He dropped to his knees, and ran his mouth over Lu's hip, over the thin scar, over the tight muscle of his thigh.
"I never asked about this," Ji said.
"Skateboard. I was twelve."
"I'll kiss it better."
"It's been better for seven years."
"Then I'll kiss it anyway."
He did.
Lu's head dropped back against the wall and his fingers went into Ji's hair.
The trophy sat on the dresser across the room, a gold blur in the lamplight.
He didn't look at it.
Ji took him in his mouth, just the head at first, hot and slow, with a flat tongue pressed under it.
Lu's thighs tensed.
"Slow," he whispered.
"Slow."
"I mean it. Don't. I'll."
Ji pulled off, wet and gleaming, and kissed the tip once, gently.
"Bed."
They went.
Lu fell back on the white sheets, and Ji came over him, still in his jersey, and stopped.
