Chapter 17: Trip In
Boone had my skirt around my waist and his tongue on me before the truck engine stopped ticking.
It was Thursday, a little after dawn, in the gravel lot behind the ice house, with the crew cab's tailgate down and my belly flat on the cold steel of it.
They had been at sea for three nights.
They came in dirty, stiff with salt, smelling of diesel and shrimp and their own sweat, and I had been waiting at the end of the dock since four.
I had not said hello.
I had said "Truck," and they had followed me.
"Ma'am," Boone said into me, hoarse. "You taste so good."
"Don't talk. Eat."
He did.
He knelt on the gravel behind me with his big hands spread on my ass, and he licked me from my clit to the back, slow and deep.
I put my cheek on the tailgate and moaned.
In front of me Rhett stood with his boots planted and his jeans stained black, and he took my face in both of his hands.
They smelled of rope and brine.
I turned my head and put my mouth on his wrist and licked.
It tasted of salt.
I licked up the inside of his forearm to the crook of his elbow and bit it, lightly, and he groaned.
"Doc," he said. "I haven't washed in three days."
"I know."
"You don't have to," he said.
"I want to."
I opened his shirt and licked his chest.
The hair was crisp with dried salt, and I sucked it from his skin, and he swore.
I worked his belt open with both hands and pushed his jeans down his hips.
He sprang free, heavy and dark, hard against his stomach, with the smell of three days on him.
I took him in my mouth.
He tasted of salt and sweat and skin, rank and clean and his, and I moaned around him, and he groaned my name.
