Chapter 15: The Den
The den was under the lodge, down forty stone steps cut into the mountain.
He lit a lantern at the bottom, and the light ran over rough walls and a low roof and a floor deep in furs.
It smelled of cedar smoke, old stone and him.
"This is where the Alphas of Black Pine have slept for two hundred years," Tavish said.
"It's warm."
"There's a vent to the hot spring."
I stood in the middle of the furs in his old flannel shirt, and I turned in a slow circle.
"It's the most beautiful room I've ever seen."
"I haven't taken anyone down here."
"Ever?"
"Ever."
He leaned on the wall with his arms folded and watched me.
I held his gaze, and slowly undid the buttons of the shirt, from the throat down.
I let it fall.
"On the furs," I said.
"Which one of us is giving orders?"
"Tonight I'm asking nicely."
"Ione."
"On the furs, Tavish. On your back."
He came across the floor in three strides.
He lay down among the pelts, hands under his head, with his gaze fixed on me.
The lantern light slid along the muscles of his arms.
I knelt at his feet.
I undid his jeans and drew them down his legs, slowly, and tossed them aside.
I climbed up between his knees.
His cock lay hard and heavy against his belly, with a bead of moisture glistening on the tip.
I'd touched it and held it and felt it inside me.
I had never put my mouth on it.
"What are you waiting for?" he said, strained.
"I want to see you."
"You've seen me."
"Not like this."
