By seven the post had four thousand shares.

By eight, people were leaving one-star reviews on the Forty-One's page with skull emojis.

By nine, somebody had found Mickey's photo from the bar's website and put it next to Santino's, with a red circle around each of them.

Mandy took his phone away from him in the car home.

"Stop reading the comments," she said.

"I'm not reading the comments."

"You're reading the comments with your whole face."

At home Mickey lay on the couch with his arm over his eyes.

Santino was sitting in his father's house with men at the door.

The Don thought his son had sent him poison as an apology.

And the only thing Mickey had was a list of drinks on eleven napkins.

"Mick," Mandy said from the kitchen. "Look at it again."

"I've looked at it."

"Not the comments. The card."

She came and sat on the arm of the couch and held her phone over his face.

Mickey looked at it.

Neat letters. Even. Every word tipping forward to the right.
