I didn't leave the live.

"Send it to my boss," I said. "Then come show it to him yourself. The eleventh, five in the morning, at the depot off Springboro Pike. In front of every driver I work with."

Shana laughed.

"Why would I do that?"

"Because nine thousand people just heard you say you have it."

"Fine," she said. "I'll be there. Bring a lawyer, sweetie."

She ended the live.

The depot manager called me ten minutes later.

"Becca," he said. "Did you just schedule your own review on the internet?"

"Yes."

He was quiet for a second.

"I'll make coffee," he said.

On the eleventh, the dock door was rolled all the way up and the cold came straight in.

Forty drivers stood in a half circle in their brown jackets, holding coffee, breathing steam.

Norma was in front in her red fleece vest.

Mitch's grandfather was beside her in his earflap hat, forty-five minutes early.

Mitch stood next to me, silent, which was how I knew he was nervous.

A woman from the carrier's regional office had driven down from Columbus.
