Chapter 19: Line Camp
The stove was roaring before I got the line camp door shut against the hail.
I peeled my wet shirt off over my head and hung it on a nail.
The cabin was one room, with a plank floor, a woodbox and a bunk with a bare tick.
Hail hammered the tin roof so loud I had to shout over it.
"Rod!" I yelled.
"I hear you," he said.
"Come here and get me out of these jeans."
He turned from the stove with firelight on his face.
The grin that came onto it was the one I had learned to wait for.
"Yes, ma'am," he said.
He pulled the saddle blankets off our packs and spread them in front of the stove, three deep.
They were wool, and they smelled of horse.
Then he came to me.
He knelt and peeled my wet jeans down my legs, slowly, kissing my cold knee and my cold shin.
I stepped out of them and he hung them over the rail.
I pulled his shirt up and over his head, and the stove light moved across his chest and the long scar.
I unbuckled his belt.
He kissed me while I did it, deep and wet, with the taste of trail coffee on his tongue.
I got his jeans down, and his cock came free into my hand, hard and hot.
I stroked him once, root to tip, and he shut his eyes and let his head fall back.
He took my breast in his mouth then, standing, and sucked until my knees went.
His teeth grazed me.
I dragged his head closer.

He listened to every word, and his hands shook on my hips.
"Lie down," I said.
"Bossy," he said.

He lay down on the saddle blankets on his back with his hands behind his head.

I stood over him in nothing but my braid.
"I want something I haven't done," I said.
"Tell me."
"I want your mouth on me while mine's on you. At the same time."
