Chapter 17: Not Monday

The suite was too quiet without Ivy in it.

I stood under the shower with my forehead against the tile until the water ran cold.

When I came out in the hotel robe, Hamish was sitting on the edge of the bed with his elbows on his knees.

He held the strip from the nurse in his hands.

He looked up.

"You should sleep," he said.

"I can't."

"I know."

I walked across the room and stopped between his knees.

He didn't touch me.

He looked up at my face, and his eyes were still red, and he waited.

"Say it's against the terms," I said.

"It's against the terms."

"Good. Then we'll keep breaking them."

I untied the robe and let it fall.

His breath went out of him.

"Marina."

"No talking tonight. Not about Dalton, not about tomorrow. I want one hour where nobody gets to take anything from me."

He put his hands on my hips, slow and careful.

I pushed him back onto the bed and climbed over him.

He was still in his shirt, so I undid every button myself.

Then I put my mouth on his chest and felt him shudder under me.

"Tell me what you want," he said.

"This time I'm in charge."

"Yes, ma'am."

I laughed, and the laugh turned into a gasp when his hands slid up my back.

I took his belt off.

I took my time with the rest, because he had taken his with me.

Then I had him bare under me, flat on his back with his chest heaving.

I knew I would not forget the sight of him.

He watched me with his lips parted.

"Look at you," he said hoarsely. "Come here."

"Not yet."

I kissed down his stomach, over the scar, over the dark trail below it, and he made a sound and shut his eyes.

His hand came into my hair, gently, asking and not pulling.

I took his hard cock in my mouth.
