October came in cold and clear, and Si-woo woke before the alarm with a very large man asleep against his chest.
Ji-seok slept the way he did everything, completely.
His long ash-brown hair had come out of its tie and lay across the sheets.
The scar through his eyebrow was pale in the morning light.
His mouth was a little open, and his hand, even in sleep, was curled around Si-woo's wrist.
Si-woo lay there a while and did nothing at all.
The window had a new curtain.
There was a table in the other room now, and four chairs, and a rice cooker that Ga-eul had brought up under her arm.
On Sundays his mother's pear drink stood in the door of the fridge.
He put his mouth to Ji-seok's shoulder.
Ji-seok stirred, and made a low sound, and turned his head into the pillow.
"Time?" he said.
"Early."
"Stay."
"I'm here."
Si-woo slid an arm under Ji-seok's neck and pulled him back against him, chest to spine, knees tucked behind his.
For a man of one hundred ninety-two centimeters, Ji-seok fitted remarkably well.
Si-woo felt him wake all through his body, the long muscles of his back loosening and then tightening again, in a different way.
"Si-woo," Ji-seok said.
"Mm."
"You're hard."
"So are you."
Ji-seok laughed, rough from sleep, and pushed his ass back against him.
Si-woo put his hand flat on Ji-seok's belly and held him still.
"I'll tell you when," he said.
"Yes."
"Don't move."
