Lionel did not shout.

He walked past his son, picked up the folder from the floor, and turned it to read the label.

"Collins and Son Builders," he said. "Harbor Point."

He said it slowly, and his eyes went somewhere far off.

Then he looked at me for a long moment, and I watched him place my face.

"The funeral," he said. "You were the girl in the black coat."

"You were there?" I said.

"I sent flowers. Imogen sent the card."

"Nolan," Lionel said, mildly. "He works for me."

"Then he'll lose his job in front of a witness."

The guard stopped.

I held my phone up so everyone could see it.

"Every page is on here," I said. "You can have the phone. It won't change what's on it."

"Where else?"

"Somewhere you won't look."

It was a lie. I had sent nothing anywhere.
