I pulled him down by the collar and kissed him.
It was nothing like the kitchen, or the loft, or the lawn.
Nobody was watching, and nobody was lying, and there was no one left in the room to be afraid of.
He made a rough sound in his chest and lifted me onto the plywood.
The tablecloth slid off the sawhorses and onto the floor.
"You're hurt," he said against my mouth.
"I'm free."
I opened his shirt button by button, and the string lights swayed over his bare shoulders.
He tore my dress up past my hips.
His hands were hot on my thighs, and mine were in his hair, and I couldn't get enough of his mouth.
"Cade."
"Right here."
"I want you to fuck me on this."
He laughed, low and shaky.
"On Trevor's bar?"
"On the bar you built."
His eyes went black.
He dragged my underwear down my legs and dropped it on the floor.
