Chapter 6: Loud

Lu woke at five with Ji's arm across his waist and Ji's cock hard against the back of his thigh.

He lay there, in the grey light, and let himself look.

Ji slept tidily.

One hand under the pillow, mouth a little open, the cool line between his eyebrows gone.

Lu had never seen it gone.

His chest did something stupid and slow.

He turned over, and Ji's eyes opened, black and awake at once.

"You stayed," Ji said, in a sleep-rough voice.

"Didn't have a choice. You've got an arm like a barbell."

"Mm."

Ji's hand slid down Lu's hip, and Lu's body answered it before his brain could weigh in.

"I said next time," Lu said.

"It's morning."

"Technically that counts as next."

"Then do it."

Lu pushed him onto his back with a hand on his chest.

Ji went without a fight, one knee sliding up, his eyes bright and fixed on Lu's face.

The sheet fell off him.

Lu fumbled the bottle from the nightstand and caught himself being careful, and it annoyed him enough to make him bold.

"On your back, knees up."

"You're giving orders."

"I won the scrim."

"That was yesterday."

"It's a standing bet." Lu slicked his fingers. "Hold still."

Ji held still.

He was tight at first, the way he'd been the night before, and Lu took his time.

One finger, then two, a slow stretch, curling to find the place that made Ji's breath snag.

Ji's stomach clenched with every pass.

"Three," Lu said.

"I can take it."

"I know you can."

He worked in the third finger carefully, and watched Ji's face go from tense to dazed to hungry.

Ji's cock was leaking onto his stomach, thick and flushed.

"Lantern," Ji said. "Now."

"Not yet."

"Now."

"You'll hurt."

"I want it to."

Lu's whole body lit.

He pulled his fingers out, slicked himself with a shaking hand, and lined up.

The head pressed against that tight ring, hot and slippery.

"Look at me," Lu said.

Ji looked.

Lu pushed in.

It was an inch, and then another, tight and burning and perfect, and Ji's mouth fell open on a breathless sound.

Lu stopped, buried halfway, his arms shaking.

"Breathe."

"I am."

"You're not."

Ji dragged in air, and his body gave.

Lu slid the rest of the way in, until his hips met the backs of Ji's thighs.

For a moment neither of them moved.

Ji was hot and gripping and alive around him.

Lu's forehead dropped onto Ji's collarbone.

"Fuck," he said. "Fuck, Ash."

"Move."

"Give me a second."

"Lantern." Ji's hand fisted in his hair and tugged his head up. "Move. Loud. Play it loud."

Lu laughed, a cracked sound.

He pulled back and thrust in, slow and deep.

Ji's whole body arched.

He did it again, harder.
