Chapter 15: On Top

I put the yellow slip back on the bathroom floor, folded exactly as it had fallen.

Then I stood at the sink for a long time with the tap running and did not ask her anything.

If I asked about Billings, she would ask about the safe.

If she asked about the safe, I would have to lie to her face.

I could not do that while she was asleep in my bed.

In the morning she found me in the kitchen with my coffee going cold.

"You're up early," she said.

"I couldn't sleep."

She was wearing my flannel shirt and nothing under it.

She looked at me, and then at the chair I was sitting in.

She took the cup out of my hand and set it on the table.

"Stay there," she said.

"Iris."

"I mean it. Hands on the chair."

I put my hands on the seat on either side of me.

She dropped to her knees on the kitchen floor between my legs.

She opened my jeans slowly, with her eyes on mine, and took me out.

"Last night I only got to feel you," she said. "Today I want to learn you."

She licked the head of my cock, slow and wet, and I breathed in through my teeth.

She wrapped her fingers around the base and took me into her mouth.

She went down as far as she could.

She came back up with her tongue flat on the underside, and she did it again.

"Christ," I said.

She pulled off with a wet sound.

"Is that good?"

"You know it's good."

"I want you to say it."

"It's good. It's the best thing I've ever felt."

"Good boy," she said, and went back down.

I gripped the chair so hard the wood creaked.

She learned fast.

She learned the place under the head that made my thighs shake, and she kept her tongue on it.

She took me deeper until she gagged a little, and she kept going.

When my hips jerked, she pulled off and held the base tight.

She looked up at me, flushed, with her lip shining.

"Not yet," she said.
