Chapter 11: Only a Second

The beach house on Galveston's West End stands on stilts above the dunes, and at dawn on Saturday the whole Gulf was pink.

I found him on the deck in a canvas chair, with his bare feet on the rail.

A mug of coffee was going cold in his hand.

He had slept four hours.

He told me so before I asked, as proof.

I stood in the doorway in his shirt with my hair a mess.

The wind pulled at the hem, and he looked up and put the mug down on the planks.

"Come here," he said.

I crossed the deck and climbed into his lap, one knee on either side of him, facing him.

The chair creaked.

He smelled of salt and coffee and sleep.

I put my forehead against his and we stayed like that, breathing, for a long time.

Nobody gave an order.

I untied the drawstring of his shorts and slid my hand inside, and his cock was already hard against my palm.

"Slow," I said.

"Anything you want."

I lifted the hem of the shirt and rose up on my knees and guided him to me.

I took him in, slowly, with my eyes open on his.

It was a long, easy slide, and his cock filled me completely and quietly, and neither of us looked away.

I felt him shudder.

I sat down all the way, and he put both arms around my back and held me against him.
