Chapter 9: Ours

At midnight on Thursday I sat on the edge of my grandmother's bed in a black slip I had bought in Portland and never worn.

The three of them stood in my doorway.

Gunnar was home from the station, with his hair damp and salt on his collar.

Jussi was beside him, scrubbed and pink and unusually quiet.

Henrik leaned on the frame with his arms crossed and his eyes on the hem of the slip.

"Come in," I said.

"Shut the door."

Gunnar shut it.

"He told me," he said.

"About the payment. I've told him what I think."

"I know what you think," Jussi said, miserably.

"I'm not discussing it," I said.

"I'm done being angry. I made my point on a dock in front of eleven fishermen. Tonight I want something else."

"Tell us," Gunnar said.

"Take your clothes off."

They looked at one another.

Then, one at a time, they did.

Gunnar went first, slow and exact, the sweater and the shirt and the belt.

Jussi was a clatter of boots and denim and apology.

Henrik pulled his flannel over his head in one move and let it drop.

I looked at the three of them under the little lamp.

They were all hard already.

They were so different, and I wanted every inch.

"Come here," I said.

"All of you."

They came.

I stood up from the bed and let the slip slide down my body.

Three pairs of hands reached for me at once.

I laughed and caught them and put them where I wanted them.

I put Gunnar's hands on my hips and Jussi's in my hair.

I put Henrik's at the small of my back.

"Slowly," I said.

"I want to feel every one of you."

Jussi kissed me first, deep and sweet.

Gunnar pressed against my back, and his mouth found my neck.

His cock lay hot and hard against the base of my spine.

Henrik knelt in front of me and put his lips against my belly, and then lower.

I let my head fall back on Gunnar's shoulder.

"That's it," Gunnar said in my ear.

"Good girl. Let us."

They laid me on the bed together.
