My Best Friend Sold Me, So I Went to Poison My Mate novel · Chapter 7 of 24

Chapter 7: Three Days

Benedikt got him inside and shut the glass door before the second wave hit.

"Ilse," he called down the hall.

"I heard." Her voice came from behind her bedroom door. "I'm going to a friend's for the weekend. Do not call me."

The front door closed.

A car started.

Then there was only the house, the sea, and the heat climbing Oren's spine.

He was on the stairs with his hands braced against the wall.

His skin burned.

Every nerve was open, and the cedar and lemon smell of the man behind him made his cock throb.

"Benedikt."

"I know."

Oren's fingers dug into the wall.

"It hurts."

"I know, I'm here." Benedikt came up the stairs behind him and wrapped an arm around his waist. "Walk with me. Almost there."

They made the bedroom.

Oren didn't make it to the bed.

He turned in Benedikt's arms and kissed him against the doorframe, wild and sloppy, tugging at his shirt with fingers that wouldn't work.

"Off. Off, please, get it off."

"Slow-"

Oren fumbled at a button.

"I don't want slow."

"I do." Benedikt caught his wrists and held them, gently, against his own chest. "You've waited six years for this. I want to give it to you right."

"I'm going to die."

"You aren't."

Benedikt held his wrists tighter.

"Then touch me."
