Chapter 13: Three

Mikkel went down the ladder naked and keyed the radio.

"North post acknowledges," he said, in his driest voice. "The prisoner is present and in good health."

He came back up the twelve rungs and stood at the top with the gray window behind him.

Anders had not moved from the pillows.

I sat in the middle of the wide bed with the quilt around my waist.

"They'll stand us in front of the whole pack," Anders said.

"Then they can wait for the solstice," I said. "Today is mine."

I pulled the quilt away and let it fall.

"I'm not your guest," I said. "I'm not your prisoner either. Put me where a mate goes."

Neither of them said a word.

Mikkel crossed the boards and knelt on the bed on my left.

Anders came up on his knees on my right, and the whole bed dipped under him.

I took Mikkel's face in one hand and Anders's beard in the other, and I turned my head from one mouth to the other.

I kissed Mikkel, quick and sweet.

I kissed Anders, deep and slow.

Then I held them both by the jaw and brought their faces together over my shoulder.

"Kiss," I said. "I want it right next to my ear."

They kissed.

I heard the wet sound of it and the small noise Mikkel made, and Anders's breath going harsh through his nose.

Heat ran down the whole length of me.

I turned my face into Anders's neck and sucked there, hard, while their mouths stayed joined.

Mikkel's hand slid down my ribs.

Anders's hand slid up the inside of my thigh.

They did not touch each other's hands, but they were no longer careful about their mouths.

"Lie back," Anders said, against Mikkel's lips.

I lay back on the gray quilt.

Mikkel's mouth went to my left breast and Anders's went to my right, and they sucked at the same time.

I arched off the bed and cried out.

Beard scraped one side of me and stubble scraped the other.

The pull of two tongues on my nipples went straight down to my clit.

"More," I said. "Lower."

Mikkel went first.

He kissed down my stomach and put his mouth on me.
