Grayson smiled at Toni.

"You must be the coach. Thanks for keeping Georgie safe."

"I haven't finished deciding if she's safe," Toni said.

He laughed and looked at the skaters behind her.

Grayson stepped into my path, careful to leave a foot between us.

I kept my eyes on the opening between his shoulder and the door.

"She still has thirty pictures to choose from," he said.

"You said thirty-one on the bridge. You released one."

"Another one is already scheduled."

Joel came out carrying the box of cups.

He set it inside the door and stood beside me.

Grayson straightened.

"Is this the rink owner?"

"Joel Rafferty," Joel said.

Grayson looked at his scar and his broad shoulders.
