Chapter 22: The Bare Floor

"I want to do what he never got to," Elliot said. "Be in a room and not be afraid of it."

I crossed the bare floor and took his face in my hands.

"Then be in it with me."

He kissed me.

It was slow, and it went on, and it tasted faintly of salt.

I felt the last of the shaking go out of him, and something steadier take its place.

"Lock's on," he said against my mouth. "Nobody comes up here."

"Good."

I unbuttoned his shirt and slid it off his shoulders, and he spread it on the floor in the patch of sun.

"Lie down with me," I said.

We knelt on the shirt together, facing each other, in the white light.

He undressed me without any hurry at all.

My jacket, my blouse, the clasp of my bra, each one with his mouth following his hands.

He kissed my collarbone, and my breast, and took a nipple between his lips and sucked until I gasped.

"Elliot."

"I love the sound you make."

"Then keep going."

He laid me down on my back on the shirt, and unzipped my skirt, and drew it down my legs with my underwear.

The sun was warm on my skin, and the floor was hard under my shoulders, and I didn't care.

He knelt between my thighs and looked at me.

"Say what you want," I said. "I'm asking you now."

"Everything." He ran his palms up my legs. "I want you to come on my tongue, and then on my cock, and then I want to do it again."

"Start."

He put his mouth on my pussy, hot and slow.

He licked a long stroke up the middle, and a short one around my clit, and my hips came up off the boards.

He held me down with a forearm across my belly and worked me patiently, with his tongue flat, then pointed, then flat again, until my fingers were in his hair and I was begging.
