Chapter 10: Watch Me
I turned on the bedside lamp, and I left it on.
Griffin stared at it, and then at me.
"You always turn it off," he said.
"Not tonight."
I sat on the edge of his bed in my bra and underwear with a small box in my lap.
He sat in the leather chair across from me, four feet away, and I could feel him looking at the box.
"What's that?"
"Something I bought on my lunch break."
I opened it.
The vibrator was white and slim, with a rounded head, and a charging cord I had already plugged in at the bakery.
His eyes went black.
"Take off your shirt," I said.
He pulled it over his head.
"Jeans.
"Leave them open."
He unbuttoned his jeans and pushed them down his hips, and his cock stood up hard against his stomach.
"Now sit on your hands."
He slid both hands under his thighs and sat on them.
He looked up at me with his lips parted, and the muscles in his shoulders were corded tight.
"If you move them," I said, "I stop."
"I won't move."
"I want you to watch."
"I'm watching."
"I mean watch me.
"Don't look anywhere else."
His throat moved.
"Yes, ma'am."
I unhooked my bra and took it off.
I pushed down my underwear and lay back against the pillows.
I spread my knees wide in the lamplight, so the whole bright length of me was bare, belly and thighs and everything, with him watching.
I had never let anyone see me do this.
For years I had done it in the dark, under the sheet, with my hand over my stomach.
"Etta," he said hoarsely.
"You're so fucking beautiful."
"Shh."
I switched the toy on.
