Chapter 12: The Black Phone
Ha-jun woke up in 1204 with the sun on his face and a heavy arm across his waist.
His things were still in boxes by the wall: two cartons of clothes, a guitar, a speaker, and the plant Min-seok had given him.
He had moved in at midnight, and neither of them had slept much.
"You're staring," Seung-ho said, without opening his eyes.
"I'm looking at my manager."
"Your manager has the day off."
"Does he?"
"He decided this morning."
Ha-jun laughed and rolled over to face him.
Seung-ho's black hair stuck up on one side.
Without his glasses, his face looked younger and less sure, and there was a pillow crease along one cheek.
Ha-jun touched it with his thumb.
Seung-ho's eyes opened, dark and warm.
"Good morning," Ha-jun said.
"Good morning."
They kissed, slowly, with the lazy sweetness of two people who had nowhere to be.
Seung-ho's hand slid into his hair and held him there.
His other hand found Ha-jun's hip under the blanket, and Ha-jun hooked a leg over his and pressed close.
