Chapter 21: Together

The guardroom at the top of the tower had one cot, one candle, and a door Dacian had bolted with his shoulder.

Mirelle had her back against that door, and her gown was already on the floor.

"You said you'd give them the room," she said.

"I gave them the room." He caught her wrists and lifted them over her head, gently. "I did not say I wouldn't take the guardroom."

"Is this a plan?"

"It is the only plan I have that doesn't involve an axe."

She laughed against his mouth, and then she wasn't laughing.

He carried her to the cot with her legs around his waist and set her down on his coat.

His hands were slow on her ribs, and his mouth was slower.

He kissed the hollow of her hip and the inside of her knee, and she told him to put his mouth on her clit, because she had never been shy about it.

He listened to every word, licking into her wet pussy until her thighs shook.

When he finally pushed his hard cock into her, they were both shaking.

The cot creaked and the candle flared, and she heard herself laugh and sob together.

"Look at me," he whispered.

She looked.

His amber eyes were wet, and he did not look away.

"I would do all forty again," he said, "for one of these."

"Don't you dare."

"No?"

"Do it differently," she said, and pulled him down as he fucked her harder.

They came together, hard and bright, his cum spilling deep inside her with his name in her throat and hers in his.

The mark on his wrist glowed gold against her back.
