The room waited to see which of us would shout.
I did not.
"Sit down, Cormac," I said.
He blinked, because I had never once said it in that voice.
"Lena, you're humiliating yourself."
"Then it will be quick. Sit down, over there, and let me deal with Mr. Castiglioni."
Castiglioni lifted one thick hand.
"I would be honored to host both claimants," he said. "Mr. Tarrant will sit at my shoulder, as a courtesy to the Legend's name."
"As your second," I said.
"As my guest."
Rafe's guards had searched every player and every bag at the door.
Nobody had searched Cormac, because he had arrived like a man who owned the room.
He took the chair behind Castiglioni's left shoulder and crossed his ankle over his knee.
