I woke on Tuesday with Bram's mouth on my shoulder and the gray light of morning on the sheets.
The ankle monitor was a plain black band under the blanket.
I had stopped feeling it somewhere around Sunday.
"Good morning, Mrs. Almost," he said, against my skin.
"I have to report at nine."
"It's six."
"That's three hours."
"That's three hours," he agreed, and slid his hand down my stomach.
His left arm was out of the sling now.
The shoulder was stiff, and he used it anyway.
I rolled onto my back and pulled him over me.
"Careful," I said. "Your arm."
"I have two."
"You have one that works."
"Then you'll have to do more of the work."
I laughed into his mouth.
He kissed me slow, with the lazy heat of a man with nowhere to be.
I pushed him onto his back and straddled his hips.
He was already hard, and I felt him against my wet heat as I moved.
"Look at you," he said hoarsely.
"Look at you."
I took his cock in my hand and guided him in, a little at a time, my eyes on his face.
He groaned, and his head went back into the pillow.
"Vesper."
"Say it again."
"Vesper."
I sank down until I had all of him.
