Chapter 7: The Tool Belt

I had hung every door in the Alpha's house, and I had never once seen his bedroom.

It was a plain square room at the back of the Point house, with a log wall, a lake window and a bed he had built himself out of white oak.

The headboard had two thick rails.

I had noticed them the second I walked in.

"Take your shirt off," I said.

Dray pulled it over his head and dropped it on the floor.

He stood in front of me in the lamplight, lean and pale and tense, breathing hard.

It was Tuesday night, and I had been thinking about this bed for two days.

I unbuckled my leather tool belt and drew it off my hips.

It was an old one, my mother's, stained dark from forty years of hands.

I slid the hammer loop and the pouches off it and held the long strap in my fist.

His eyes went to it and stayed.

"Lie down," I said. "On your back. Head to the rails."

He lay down.

His chest rose and fell fast.

I climbed up beside him and took his right wrist and drew it up over his head.

"What are you."

"Quiet."

I wound the strap around his wrist twice and around the rail, and I buckled it.

I did the same with the left, using the loose end.

I pulled both buckles tight enough to hold and not tight enough to hurt.

Then I sat back on my heels and looked at him.

He was stretched out on the white oak bed with his arms over his head and his sandy hair mussed on the pillow.

The burn scar showed pink in the lamplight.

His pale eyes were huge.

"Pull," I said.

He pulled.

The rails creaked, and the strap held.

A shudder went through his whole body, and his cock jumped against his jeans.

"God," he whispered.

"Beg me to keep going."

He swallowed. "Please."

"That's what I thought."

I got off the bed and unbuttoned his jeans and dragged them down his legs, and he lifted his hips to help.

I let them fall off the end of the bed.

I stood there in my overalls and thermal, fully dressed, and looked down at him naked and bound.

"You're so fucking beautiful," I said.

His breath hitched. "Rue."

"Tonight, you don't get to touch me. You don't get to come until I say. And you tell me everything."

"Everything."

"All of it. Out loud."

"Yes."

I climbed back onto the bed and straddled his knees.

I put my hands flat on his chest and ran them down slowly over his ribs and his belly.

He sucked in a sharp breath.

"It's like a hot wire," he said. "From your hands to my spine. And then it doubles back."

I leaned down and kissed his collarbone.

I kissed his sternum, and the hollow of his throat, and the soft skin under his ear.

I bit his earlobe lightly, and he cursed and arched his back.
