Chapter 24: The Last Night

The door of the bridal room shut, and for a moment nobody moved.

A single lamp burned beside the bed.

Four rings glinted on Ren's left hand, and three more pairs of hands were already reaching for him.

"The sun is up when we say," Ken said, and pulled Ren's coat off his shoulders.

Su Ming caught Ren's face and kissed him, slow and deep, while Ryu undid the buttons of his shirt from behind.

Ren turned in the circle of their arms and could not decide whom to touch first.

"Everyone," Ryu said into his ear. "You can have everyone."

They fell onto the bed in a heap of white shirts and bare skin, and for a while it was only laughter and mouths.

Ken lost his trousers on the first try.

Su Ming lost his hair ribbon, and Ryu lost his patience, and Ren lost track of whose hands were where.

He ended up on his back with Su Ming sprawled over his chest, kissing his throat, while Ken slid down between his legs.

"You first," Ken said, and took him into his mouth.

Ren's whole body arched.

Ken sucked him slow, a long wet pull, with his hand wrapped at the base and his amber eyes fixed on Ren's face.

Su Ming whispered into Ren's ear, not words of command, only his name, over and over.

"Ren. Ren. Ren."

Ryu knelt at Ren's head and bent to kiss him upside down.

It was clumsy and deep, and Ryu's hand slid down the center of his chest to join Su Ming's.

"Now you," Ren managed. "All of you. Please."

"Who first?" said Su Ming.

"I don't care. Just..."

"Ryu," Ken said. "He's been patient."

Ryu sat against the headboard and drew Ren back onto his lap, and entered him slowly, one arm wrapped around his ribs.

The slow stretch of it pulled a groan from Ren's chest.

Ryu's mouth was against his shoulder.

"I love you," Ryu said, thick and low. "Say it back."
