Chapter 11: Belt
He pulled the belt out of his trousers in one slow, whispering draw.
I was on my back on his bed on Good Friday night with my dress already gone.
The iron rail of the headboard was cold against my shoulders.
"Give me your hands," he said.
I gave them.
He crossed my wrists and wound the leather around them twice.
He looped the free end through the rail and buckled it, and tested the pull with one finger.
I could not get my hands down.
I tested it once, to be sure, and a hot, helpless thrill ran through me.
"Too tight?" he said.
"No."
"Tell me to stop and I stop," he said. "Right now."
"Don't you dare."
He smiled.
It was the slow, rare smile I had only seen in his shower, and I felt it between my legs.
"Good," he said.
He stood at the foot of the bed in his shirt and trousers and looked at me.
I was naked, with my arms stretched over my head, and my breasts rose and fell.
He took his time.
His eyes went from my face to my throat and my breasts, my stomach, my hips, and the dark place between my thighs.
"You have no idea," he said, "what you look like."
"Tell me."
"The one thing I was told I could never have," he said.
"You have me."
"Say it again," he said.
"You have me."
He knelt on the bed between my knees.
He laid his palms flat on my ankles and drew them up the insides of my legs, very slowly, to my thighs.
I shivered.
He kissed the inside of my left knee.
He kissed the inside of my right.
He worked his way up on one side, then the other, with soft, wet kisses and the barest drag of his teeth.
"Luan."
"Not yet," he said.
"You always say that."
"You always want it before I'm ready to give it."
His breath was hot against my skin.
I arched toward his mouth, and he moved away.
He kissed my hip bone and my stomach.
He kissed everywhere except where I needed it.
