Chapter 16: The Switch
William took his jacket off and folded it.
Noah almost laughed.
"You don't have to fold it."
"I'm nervous."
"I know." Noah took the jacket and threw it into the corner. "That's why."
He knelt in front of him on the zipped-together sleeping bags.
A headlamp hung from the ridge pole, turned down to a dim amber glow.
In it William looked enormous and uncertain, a big man on his knees in a small tent.
Noah undid the buttons of his shirt, one at a time.
William's chest rose and fell under his hands.
He was broad and smooth and hard with muscle.
A line of dark hair ran from his navel down into his jeans.
A faint scar from a fall at nine curved under his ribs.
Noah pressed his mouth to the scar.
William's breath hissed in.
"Lie back."
"Noah."
"Lie back."
William lay back.
Noah opened William's jeans and pulled them down his legs.
William's cock stood up thick and hard against his stomach, already wet at the tip.
"Look at you," Noah said. "You've been like this all day."
"Since the bus."
"Since the aisle?"
"Since the first day you came down to breakfast in that hoodie."
Noah wrapped his hand around him and stroked slowly, thumb dragging through the wet.
William's head fell back.
"Fuck."
"That's the idea."
Noah bent and took him in his mouth.
William's hand shot to his hair, then hesitated.
"Put it back," Noah said, lips wet. "Hold on."
The hand came back.
It trembled.
Noah sucked him slowly and deeply, sliding his tongue along the underside, until William was panting and his thighs had fallen apart.
Then Noah took the bottle of slick from the pack and warmed some between his fingers.
"Knees up."
William bent his knees.
His face was turned away, jaw tight, as if he couldn't look.
