Chapter 9: Silk
Weicheng kissed the four red marks on his wrist one at a time.
Every kiss went up Yichen's arm.
They were in the Chairman's bedroom, in the lamplight, with the door shut and the coat on the floor.
"He's got a hell of a grip," Yichen said, a little breathless. "For a man who can't draw a sleeve."
"I'll remember it."
"Don't bother. I slapped him. It's done."
"I know. I watched from the car."
Weicheng laid the wrist down on the sheet, gently, and reached for the drawer beside the bed.
He took out a tie.
It was a long strip of dark grey silk, soft as water, folded in thirds.
Yichen looked at it, and then at him.
"What's that for?"
"You made me a promise on the stairs," Weicheng said. "You told him you'd never be held again."
"I said he wouldn't touch me."
"Then I'm making an exception for the one man who may."
Yichen's heart kicked once in his ribs.
He laughed, to hide it. "Is that a proposal?"
"It's a fitting."
He took both wrists in one hand and wound the silk round them, twice, loose enough that the knot did not bite.
He drew them up over Yichen's head and looped the tail round the carved rail of the headboard.
The silk slid cool across his skin.
Yichen tugged once, testing.
It held, and the soft pull ran straight down his body to his cock.
"Comfortable?" Weicheng asked.
"Is that a form question?"
"It's an invitation to say no."
"No," said Yichen, grinning up at him, wicked, and arching his back. "Absolutely not. Carry on."
The grey eyes went dark as a night sea.
Weicheng sat back on his heels, and began to undress him.
He took his time over it.
The shirt came off, button by button, with a kiss on each patch of bare skin.
