Chapter 22: Again
"I love you," Leandros said, and pushed inside him.
He said it slowly, on the first long thrust, with Linus in his lap and the grey morning in the window.
Linus's head dropped to his shoulder.
"Again."
"I love you."
It came out on the second thrust, lower, rough at the edges.
They sat facing each other in the middle of the white bed, knees folded, Linus astride with his arms around the man's neck.
There was no hurry in it.
The sheet lay in a tangle behind them, and the beads lay on the pillow, and the light came in white off the frosted harbor.
Leandros's hands spanned his waist and lifted him a little, and let him sink.
"Again."
"I love you," Leandros said.
"Again, Leandros."
"I love you. I love you."
Linus laughed, shakily, and pressed his face into the man's neck.
"You're making up for lost time."
"I'm making up for thirty-one years," Leandros said.
"That's a lot of times."
"I have the stamina."
"You do," Linus said, with feeling.
The man's mouth curved against his temple.
They moved together, slow and deep, rocking.
There was no fury in it, and no fear, and no need to prove anything to anyone.
