Chapter 5: Nothing in the Contract

"Clause eleven," I said against his mouth.

"What about it?"

"Nothing in that contract is why I'm doing this."

His hands had stopped at my hips.

His glasses were gone, set down somewhere on the island.

Without them he looked at me like a man who had finally put something heavy down.

"Say it again," he said.

"This isn't the money. It isn't your uncle. It isn't a single line on any page."

"Then what is it?"

"I want you to fuck me, Sebastian."

He made a low sound in his chest that I felt in my own.

He lifted me off the island and set me down on my feet, and for a second I thought he was stepping away.

He took my face in both hands.

"Upstairs," he said.

"Here."

"Olivia."

"Here first," I said. "Then upstairs."

That broke something in him, and I loved it.

He kissed me hard, against the cabinets, with his hips pinning mine and his knee between my thighs.

My dress was the navy one from the courthouse.

He pushed the skirt up to my waist, and I heard the sound of his belt before I felt his hand slide inside my underwear.

"You're soaked," he said, half to himself.

"I've been soaked since the courthouse."

"You told me you were being thorough."

"I lied."

"You never lie."

"Tonight I do."

He laughed, one short breath against my neck, and then two of his fingers pushed inside me and the laugh turned into my name.

I grabbed the edge of the counter.

He worked me slowly, curling his fingers, with his thumb right on my clit, circling, and I could feel him watching my face.

"Look at me," he said.

I did.

His eyes were dark and fixed and entirely mine.

"There," he said, when my breath caught. "Right there. You like that."

"Don't stop."

"I wasn't going to."

My thighs started to shake.

He kept his rhythm exactly, steady and unforgiving.

He kissed my jaw and my throat and murmured things I couldn't follow.
