Chapter 11: The Net Locker

Thalia's POV

By afternoon the rain had gone and the old man was a different person.

He walked the yard with his hands behind his back and spoke to every man he passed.

He laughed at something a foreman said.

I watched him from the boathouse door and thought, I did that.

I did not know what to do with the thought.

At three he came down to the boathouse to look for a chart.

I was waiting in the net room.

It sat under the loft, a long low space with wooden lockers along one wall and nets hanging from the beams.

It smelled of tar and old rope.

I shut the door behind him and put the bolt across.

"Thalia," he said.

"Face the lockers."

He looked at me.

Then he turned and put both hands on the wood, high, and stood with his head down.

I came up behind him and put my hands under his arms and across his chest.

I felt him breathe.

"Stay like that," I said into his back. "Don't turn around."

"I won't."

I pushed my own jeans down.

I pushed his belt open and his trousers off his hips, and his cock was already hard and heavy in my hand.

He shuddered.

"You want this," I said.

"God, yes."

"Then keep your hands on the wood."

I stepped around him, slid under his arm, and put my back to the lockers.
