Chapter 7: Tea Water

The water was the color of strong tea and so cold it stole my breath.

Reuben's hands on my hips were so hot that I forgot about the water altogether.

I sat in his lap on the white sandbar with the creek up to my ribs.

Cedar water makes everything look brown, and under it his skin was gold, and mine was gold too.

It was the warm end of a cold October, and the afternoon sun came slanting through the cedars.

I had my arms around his neck and my knees on either side of his thighs.

"Take me again," I said. "I mean to ride you here, slow, until the sun goes."

"Slow," Reuben said. "I can do slow."

"I know you can."

He kissed me, and his tongue was warm and the creek was cold, and I shivered all over for the pleasure of it.

I rose on my knees in the water.

I felt his cock slip free of me, thick and slick, and he caught his breath.

I took it in my hand under the surface.

I stroked him, slowly, root to tip, with the cold water running over my knuckles, and I watched his face change.

"Lucinda," he said, and his laugh was a ragged breath. "You are going to be the end of me."

I rubbed the head of him against my clit, under the water, in little circles, and I felt my own thighs tremble.

He slid a hand into my hair and pulled my mouth down to his, and he kissed me with his whole body.

I held him against me, right where I was wet and open.

Then I sank down, an inch at a time.

The water pushed gently against us, and I felt it ripple around the place where he was entering me.

"Oh," I said. "Oh, I can feel the current."

I took him all the way in.

I stayed there with my forehead against his and let myself feel how full I was.

His hands slid up my back.

They were rough, and the water ran off them, and the sun was warm on my shoulders.

"Don't move," I said. "Let me."

"Whatever you say."

I began to rock.

It was a small, lazy motion, a slow roll of my hips that I could do forever.

The creek slapped softly at our skin.
