Pippa sent me downstairs before anybody could give me a job.
I found the ceremony chairs arranged beneath the largest flower arch.
The small arch had been moved away from the walkway.
Miles stood beside it with the photographer.
He looked up when he saw me and put his phone away.
I wanted him to keep looking while I crossed the terrace.
Then a guest stopped me with a loose ribbon in her hand.
"Do you know where this belongs?" she asked.
Before I answered, Finlay came out of the inn.
"To the flowers, I think," he said.
He took the ribbon and tied it loosely around the nearest stem.
"That'll do," the guest said, and went to find her chair.
I watched her go, slightly offended by the ease of it.
I'd have looked for the matching ribbon and the proper bow.
