Chapter 6: Both

The cushion dipped at my feet as Cal sat.

Devin stayed at my head, and I felt him decide, in the long quiet, not to go.

"Slow," Devin said. "If we do anything, it's slow."

"I'm the slow one," Cal said. "You've got it backwards."

His hands closed around my ankles and drew the afghan down, an inch at a time.

I was in a thin T-shirt and nothing else.

The cool air hit my bare thighs, and I felt both men look.

"Jesus, Kate," Cal said under his breath.

"Don't," Devin said, but there was no force in it.

Cal's palms came up the outsides of my legs.

He pushed my knees apart a little, then waited.

I stayed boneless.

My pulse was in my ears, loud enough that I couldn't believe they didn't hear it.

"If this were wrong," Cal said quietly, "she'd stir. Wouldn't she?"

"She would," Devin said.

"So she's all right with it."

"She's asleep, Cal."

"Mm," Cal said.

His mouth landed on the inside of my knee, then my thigh, and he trailed it upward in slow, wet kisses.

Devin's hand slid under the hem of the shirt and spread flat on my stomach.

Then his fingers worked the shirt up my ribs, a little at a time, until the cold air reached my breasts.

I stopped breathing altogether.

"Look at her," Devin whispered.

He sounded wrecked.

He bent and took one nipple into his mouth, soft, then harder, and I clamped my jaw so no sound could get out.

At the same moment Cal's tongue reached the center of me, one long slow stroke, and my whole back wanted to bow.
