Chapter 21: The Mark

Elsie's POV

Thane went completely still.

His forehead was against mine, and I felt his breath stop.

"What do you want, Elsie?" he asked.

It came out low and rough.

"Your mark," I said.

"Say it again."

"I want your mark. I'm not burning, and nobody ordered me."

I held his face in both hands.

He bent and took one in his mouth, and I gasped and dug my nails into his shoulders.

"Thane."

"I've got you," he said against my skin.

His mouth traveled down my stomach, and I knew he meant to stay there.

"No," I said. "I want you inside me."

I pulled at his shoulders.

"I want to watch your face when you do it."

He undressed in a hurry, and I saw how hard he was, heavy against his belly.

My mouth went dry.

He settled over me on his forearms, and I wrapped my legs around his hips and pulled him in.

He pushed into me in one deep, slow stroke, and we both cried out.
