Chapter 4: Friday

Lu Chen woke at dawn with Su Ye's arm heavy across his chest and a cramp in his left calf.

The cramp was not his.

He lay still, counting the beats of it.

Su Ye shifted in his sleep and the pain let go, and Lu Chen breathed out.

That was the chain.

He was going to feel every cramp and bruise this man ever got, and the man would never know.

Lu Chen turned his head.

Su Ye slept with his mouth a little open and one curl stuck across his cheek.

The red cord had slid down onto the back of his hand.

Lu Chen touched it with one finger.

It was warm.

Then he looked at the rest of him, bare to the hip above the blanket and pale in the early light.

A different kind of heat went through him.

He had promised himself last night that he would let Su Ye start everything.

He lifted the blanket, anyway.

Su Ye was half hard in his sleep.

Lu Chen settled between his knees, bent his head, and took him into his mouth.

Su Ye made a low sound and his hips moved.

Lu Chen went slowly, with his tongue flat along the underside.

He took more of him each time, until the head touched the back of his throat.

"Mm," Su Ye said thickly. "What..."

His hand found Lu Chen's hair.

"Oh. Oh, fuck, good morning."

Lu Chen did not stop.

He sucked, and hollowed his cheeks, and let his free hand cup Su Ye's balls and roll them gently.

Su Ye's thighs shook.

"You're," he gasped, "you don't have to. You're so good at this, how are you so good at this. Don't stop. Please don't stop."

Lu Chen hummed around him.

Su Ye's whole body arched.

His fingers tightened in Lu Chen's hair, not pulling, only holding, and he was talking again, broken and low.

"Look at your mouth. God, look at you. Take it. That's it, that's so perfect, I'm going to come, I'm going to come in your mouth."

"Do it," Lu Chen said against him.
