He kissed me against the kitchen counter with the dish towel in my fist.
It was slow.
It was the slowest kiss he had ever given me.

I pushed him onto his back.
He lay looking up at me with his dark hair damp on his forehead.
The scar on his cheek was pale in the lamplight.
