Chapter 7: Amendments

The cabin shower held one person and a half, and Isak used every inch of the half.

It was eight o'clock Sunday morning, and the rain had stopped.

I stood with my palms flat on the wet tile and the hot water pounding between my shoulder blades.

He stood behind me, with his chest against my back and his arms around my waist.

His mouth was on my neck.

"I woke up at six," he said, "and I thought it had been a dream."

"Spread your feet," he said, low, behind my ear.

I did.

He stepped in closer and guided himself against me, and then he pushed in from behind, slow and steady, until his hips met mine.

We both groaned.

The tile was cold under my hands, and he was hot against my back.

"God," he said. "Roz. You're so tight like this."

"Move, Isak."

He began to thrust.

Each stroke was deep and a little rough, and his fingers never left my clit.
