I Faked Sleep for My Stepbrother's Friends, but Nobody Was Fooled novel · Chapter 1 of 24
Chapter 1: Asleep
In her childhood bed Callie keeps her eyes shut while four men spread her legs and touch her; she decides to stay asleep, and the first of them lines up to push in.
The sheet came off my legs an inch at a time.
I lay on my back in the bed I grew up in and kept my breathing slow and even.
I have been good at looking asleep since I was fourteen.
The door clicked shut, and then came a second click, the lock on the knob turning.
An hour earlier I had heard them through the wall of my stepbrother's room.
One of his friends had said it was a crime to waste a whole weekend with our parents away.
My stepbrother had said, "Leave her alone. She sleeps like the dead."
I never have, not once in my life.
I only let everyone believe it.
Now the mattress dipped on both sides of me.
The room smelled of chlorine and beer and the sunscreen I had watched them rub into each other's shoulders all afternoon.
Two hands settled on my knees.
They were warm, and they were careful, and they pushed my legs apart slowly.
Then they stopped being careful.
"Wider," Dean whispered. "Come on. Get her all the way open."
"She's going to wake up," Gabe said. "Callie? Callie, can you hear me?"
I did not answer.
"Told you," Dean said. "She's gone."
My thighs went flat against the mattress.
The cool air touched me where only a pair of cotton shorts had been in the way.
Fingers hooked the waistband and drew the shorts down my legs.
Somebody breathed in sharply.
"Jesus," Finley said, very low. "She isn't wearing anything under them."
I had thought about that for twenty minutes before I got into bed.
"Check her," Dean said.
A fingertip touched me and drew one slow line from top to bottom.
"She's soaked," Finley said. "Look at my hand. She's been like this for a while."
"She's dreaming about something," Gabe whispered. "Look at her thighs. It's running down onto the sheet."
Yes, I thought. About all of you. About this exact room.
I did not move.
The bed shifted at the head, by my pillow, and someone sat down there without a word.
I knew who it was before he touched me.
Drake has a way of sitting that takes up no room at all, and he used it now.
Two fingers settled against the side of my neck, just under my jaw, and stayed there.
He was checking my pulse.
It was racing, and I could do nothing about it.
"Is she okay?" Gabe asked.
"She's fine," Drake said. "Her heart's fast. She's dreaming."
His fingers lifted away.
He never looked below my face.
I could tell, and it was the only reason I did not break.
Finley pushed one finger inside me.
It went in easily, all the way, and I bit the inside of my cheek so hard I tasted metal.
It had been a long time since anybody but me had touched me there.
His finger was longer than mine, and he knew what to do with it.
He curled it forward and held it there.
"She's so tight," he said. "Like she's never done this with anyone."
I haven't, I thought. Not like this.
I stayed limp.
He worked a second finger in beside the first and stretched me slowly.
The wet sound in the quiet room was so loud that I wanted to put the pillow over my face.
"Listen to that," Dean said happily.
"Shut up," Drake said, from above my head.
Dean took Finley's place without asking.
His fingers were thicker and in a hurry.
He drove them in and out while his thumb ground down on my clit.
I felt the orgasm start, low and fast and heavy, and I was a few strokes from coming on his hand.
He stopped.
I nearly cried out at the loss of it.
"She's awake," Gabe hissed.
Every hand in the room went still.
"She moved," Gabe said. "Her stomach moved."
"She breathed," Finley said. "People do that."
"Her breathing changed."
Nobody spoke.
I let my chest rise and fall as slowly as I could.
I thought of the long boring hallway of my old school.
Drake's voice came quiet from above me.
"She's out," he said. "I've got her. Keep going."
It was an odd thing to say so calmly.
I did not stop to think about it.
I heard a zipper, and the soft drag of denim on skin, and Dean's breath getting rough.
The mattress sank between my knees.
"Be careful with her," Drake said.
"I will."
He did not sound careful.
He sounded hungry, and I knew he had been since the afternoon, when I walked out to the pool in my bikini.
His hard cock pressed against me, hot and heavy, and slid through my wet pussy once, twice, and nudged at my entrance.
I could have opened my eyes.
I could have said, I know you're here and I want this and I'm not asleep.
I did not say it.
So I stayed asleep.
Dean took hold of my hips, pulled me down the bed to meet him, and pushed his cock in.
