Chapter 11: The Jersey Ties
The 17 was too small across the shoulders.
Gaspard stood in front of the fire in it with his arms at his sides.
BRANNAGH, it said across his back.
Nash sat on the edge of the bed in his own 29, with his elbows on his knees and his eyes going over every inch.
"Turn around."
Gaspard turned.
The fabric stretched tight over his back.
The hem ended halfway down his hips, and under it his bare legs went on for a mile.
"Slowly," Nash said.
"You are enjoying this."
"I'm learning a lot."
"What have you learned?"
"That my name looks great on your ass."
"I will not respond to that."
"You don't have to. Come here."
Gaspard crossed the room.
He stopped in front of the bed, close enough that Nash could feel the heat of him.
Nash looked up the whole length of him.
The jersey was riding up over a hard half-erection that was growing steadily harder under his gaze.
"You said tonight I choose," Nash said.
"I did."
"Then get on the bed. On your stomach."
Gaspard's eyes darkened.
He did it without a word, climbing onto the quilt and stretching out face-down with his arms folded under his head.
Nash got up and went to the foot of the bed and looked.
It was criminal.
Long, lean, scarred, all that dry-eyed discipline stretched on a bed in the firelight with Nash's name across his back, breathing slowly and waiting for orders.
"Hands," Nash said.
"What?"
"Put your hands over your head. Together."
Gaspard obeyed.
Nash pulled his own 29 over his head, twisted it into a rope with the name in the middle, and slipped it under the wrists.
