Chapter 6: The Hot Spring

Mikkel took me up the creek on the fourth afternoon, on his boundary walk.

He took me to a hot spring in the cedars that did not appear on any map.

It was a stone basin the size of a kitchen, with steam coming off it into the rain.

I was in it before he finished taking off his boots.

"Get in," I said.

"You're bossy for a prisoner."

"Get in, Warden."

He peeled off his shirt and his jeans and stood on the flat rock at the edge, thin and pale and goose-fleshed in the cold.

His cock was already hard.

"Don't look at me like that," he said.

"Like what?" I asked.

"Like you're deciding where to start."

"I am."

He laughed and stepped down into the water and sank to his chest with a groan.

I waded to him through the heat.

The water came up to my ribs, soft and slick on my skin, smelling of minerals and cedar.

I put my arms around his neck and kissed him, and he tasted of tea.

He kissed me back slowly.

His hands came around my waist under the water and pulled me flush against him.

He turned us and set my back against the warm rock at the edge of the basin, with the water lapping at my breasts.

"Here."

I took his hand and pushed it between my legs.

I arched against the rock.

"Mikkel."

"I know," he said. "I've got you."

He worked two fingers in and out, slowly, while his thumb found my clit and rolled it.

The water moved with his hand.

Every stroke sent a ripple out across the basin and a tremor up through me.

"Not like this," I said. "Not your hand. I want you."

"Say it plainly."

His eyes went dark.

"All right," Mikkel said.

He turned me by the hips, gently, until I faced the rock.

I braced my forearms on the warm stone and spread my legs under the water.

He stood behind me, and his hands slid down my back, my waist, my hips.

I felt the head of him nudge between my thighs.

He paused.

"Tell me it's what you want."

"It's what I want," I said. "I told you."

"Say it again."

"Fuck me, Mikkel."

He pushed in.

He was long and not as thick as Anders, and he went into me with one smooth stroke that took the breath out of me.

I cried out against the rock.

He held still, buried to the root, with his chest against my back.

"God," he said. "You feel perfect."

"Move."

"Not yet. Let me feel you."

I clenched around him on purpose, and he swore.

Then he began to move.

He thrust slowly at first, deep and steady, and the water slapped against us in soft rhythmic waves.

His hands held my hips, and I pushed back to meet each stroke.

"That's it," he said. "Take it, sweetheart. Take all of it."

"Harder."

He gave it to me.

He fucked me hard against the rock with the steam rising around us.

His hips drove into me, and the sound of it echoed off the cedar trunks.

I moaned his name.

I reached back and caught his thigh to pull him closer.

He leaned over me and set his mouth to my shoulder.

"I can feel the knot," he said, hoarse. "It wants to go in. It's swelling already."
