Chapter 24: Two A.M.

My spare room was the same, with the narrow bed and the crooked poster.

Elliot shut the door behind us and stood with his back against it.

"Come here," I said, "and take your coat off."

He heard the old line and smiled, and shrugged out of the coat.

I walked him to the bed and undressed him in the lamplight, one button at a time, the way I wanted.

He let me.

He stood with his hands at his sides and his chest rising, and watched my fingers go down his shirt.

When I'd peeled it off I kissed the scar in his eyebrow, then his mouth.

"I'm wearing it," I said, and held up my wrist.

"I see it."

"Don't take it off me."

"I wouldn't."

He lifted my sweater over my head, and my jeans down my legs, and laid me on the bed with the watch on my arm.

He kissed my stomach, and my hip, and the inside of my knee, in no hurry.

He settled between my thighs and licked me, one slow stroke from my entrance to my clit.

I arched into his mouth.

"Yes," I said. "Just like that."

He worked me with his tongue and two fingers until I was shaking, and every sound I made went into the pillow.

I came with my heels on his back, and he kissed his way up my body, wet-mouthed and grinning.

Then I pushed him onto his back and took his cock in my hand.

I stroked him, slick and hard, and bent and sucked the head into my mouth.

He swore, softly, and his fingers slid into my hair.

"Hallie. Come here. I want to feel you."

I climbed up over him.

I sank down on his cock, slowly, until he was all the way in, and we both let out a long unsteady breath.
