Chapter 5: The First Night

I sat up, straddling his lap, and put both hands flat on his chest.

"The contract says no sex," I said.

"I wrote it myself," Rhys said. His voice was wrecked. "In your handwriting, almost."

"It's in the car. In a folder."

"I know where it is."

"Get it," I said.

"Mamie."

"I want you to get it."

He looked at me for a long moment.

Then he reached over the edge of the bed, dug his phone out of his jacket, and held it up.

He had photographed the page.

I took the phone from his hand and found the line NO SEX IS PART OF THIS AGREEMENT.

"That was fast," I said.

"I like evidence," he said.

His eyes went to my breasts, bare and heavy in the firelight, and stayed there.

"God," he said.

"Don't talk," I said. "Touch."

His palms cupped me, warm and rough, and his thumbs dragged across my nipples until they hardened and I gasped.

He leaned forward and took one in his mouth.

I slid my fingers into his hair and held on while he sucked, slow and deep, with his tongue flicking against the peak.

Heat ran straight down between my legs, and I ground my hips against him without thinking.

He groaned against my skin.

"Off," I said, tugging at his waistband. "These too."

He lifted his hips, and I pushed the pajama pants down his thighs.

He was thick and flushed and very hard, and when my hand wrapped around him he swore under his breath.
