Chapter 21: Every Room

They started in the kitchen because Kaede couldn't wait.

She carried Rin out of the bedroom, through the dark hallway.

She sat her down on the scrubbed wooden table with a plate of cold rice still on it.

"Kaede, the rice."

"Forget the rice."

She swept it onto the floor with one arm.

It hit the boards with a clatter, and Rin burst out laughing.

Then stopped when Kaede pushed her robe up and knelt between her knees.

"Lie back."

Rin lay back on the table.

The wood was cool under her shoulders, and the banked stove glowed orange in the corner.

Kaede's hands spread her thighs.

She put her mouth on her, hot and certain.

She found the place where Rin was most sensitive after the night before.

Rin cried out.

It was almost too much.

It was exactly enough.

Kaede ate her out with slow, deep, thorough licks, holding her hips down to the table so she could not move.

"Mmm."

"Don't stop, I'm going to..."

She came with her back off the wood and both hands over her mouth.

Kaede worked her through it, tongue lazy and wet, and then lifted her head with her chin shining.

"One," she said.

"One what?"

"One room."

"There are seven rooms."

"Then I have six more."

Rin pulled her up by the collar of her tunic and kissed her.

"You've got a lot of work to do," she said into her mouth. "Where next?"

They went to the storeroom, where the rice sacks lay stacked head high.

Rin pushed Kaede against them and undid her tunic, and the cord at her waist.

She went down on her knees on the earth floor, between the sacks and the cold wall.

She put her mouth on Kaede.

She was thorough about it.

She used her lips and her tongue and two fingers pressed deep inside.

She held Kaede's trembling thighs steady while Kaede clutched at the sacks and swore.

"Rin, I'm, I can't stand."

"You'll stand."

"Rin."

"Count."

"One, two, three, I can't, four..."
