Chapter 8: The Safe

"Tell me what you want," I said.

She sat on the edge of my desk with her knees apart and her nightgown rucked up around her hips.

It was past midnight, and the only light in the office was the green glass lamp.

"You know what I want," she said.

"I want to hear it."

"That's not fair."

"It's the lesson."

She bit her lip.

She had learned a lot in two weeks, but she had not learned to ask.

She would take whatever I gave her and thank me for it.

I wanted the other thing.

I wanted her to say it out loud, in her own voice, so there was no doubt who had asked.

"Start with where," I said.

"Between my legs."

"What between your legs?"

"Your mouth."

"Say it so it makes sense."

"I want your mouth on my pussy," she said, and she flushed from her throat to her hairline.

I knelt on the floor and pulled her to the edge of the desk.

I put her thighs over my shoulders.

I licked her once, slowly, and she hissed through her teeth.

"Now what?"

"Again."

"Again what?"

I gave it to her.

I used my tongue flat and then pointed, and I sucked her clit between my lips until she dropped back onto her elbows and cursed.

She had never cursed in her life.

"Fuck," she said. "Oh, fuck, Jack."

"Where else?"

"Inside. Your fingers."

I slid two fingers into her, slow, and curled them, and she made a sound I had not heard from her before.

"There," she said. "Right there. Don't stop."

I didn't.

I held her hip down with my free hand while she shook against my mouth.

She came with her heel digging into my back, and the green lamp rocked on the desk.

When she stopped I stayed there with my face against her thigh, breathing her in.
