Chapter 10: Three Nights

Isla's POV

His face was warm under my hands, and the stubble on his jaw caught my palms.

"Three nights," Conal said roughly. "Separate rooms. You wrote the rule yourself."

"I did."

"You should hold me to it."

"Say the word, then." I kept my eyes on his. "The one we agreed not to say."

His throat moved.

"You first," he said.

"No. You."

"Not tonight." His hands came up to cover mine. "Tonight I'm only going to do what you tell me."

"Then take me upstairs."

He lifted me off the floor and I wrapped my legs around his waist.

He kissed me the whole way up, and the third stair creaked under us and neither of us cared.

My door banged open against the wall.

He set me down on the quilt and stood over me with his chest heaving and his eyes entirely gold.

"Say it again," he said.

"Take your shirt off."

He pulled it over his head in one move.

I put my hands flat on his chest and felt his heart slamming against my palms.

He was broad and scarred across the ribs and hot to the touch.

I dragged my nails down his stomach, and he made a sound low in his throat.

"My turn," he said.

He got my sweater off, then the rest, until I was bare on the quilt.

He looked at me for one long, silent moment.

"You're so beautiful it hurts," he said.

"Then do something about it."

He knelt on the floor beside the bed and pulled my hips to the edge.

His mouth opened on my inner thigh, and I grabbed the quilt with both hands.

He kissed his way up slowly, and when his tongue finally touched my clit I cried out.

"Conal."

He groaned against me.

He licked me slowly at first, long strokes that made my toes curl, and then faster when I started to shake.

I tangled my fingers in his hair and held on.

"More," I begged. "Please, more."

He slid two fingers inside my pussy and curled them, and the room went white.

I came hard, with my back arched off the bed and his name in my mouth.
