Chapter 22: Full Moon

I took him up to the ridge that night.

We went on foot, in the snow, with the moon so bright that the pines threw shadows.

Neither of us spoke until we reached the flat rock where I had changed the first time.

He stopped a few paces back.

"You said tomorrow," Dain said. "It's tomorrow."

"It is."

"Then you'll tell me."

"Not with words yet."

I took off his coat.

I laid it down on the rock, and I stood on it in my boots and took off my boots.

He watched me do it with his eyes already gold.

"The mark is mine to give," I said. "You said so in the hut."

"I did."

"You haven't asked me for it once since."

"I won't."

"I know. That's why I'm giving it."

I undid my dress and let it fall.

The cold hit my skin, and I did not feel it, because he was looking at me.

He went down on his knees in the snow in front of me.

"Wynn."

"Yes."

"Tell me what you want."

"Your mouth," I said. "Everywhere."

He put his hands on my hips and kissed my belly.

Then he pulled me down, onto his coat, and spread my thighs, and put his mouth on me.

I cried out.

He licked me slow, from my entrance up to my clit, and then he pressed his tongue flat against it and held it there, and my back came up off the rock.

"Don't stop."

He didn't.

He sucked, and flicked, and slid two fingers inside me, curling them until my whole body shook.

I buried both hands in his hair.

I came with a long loud cry, with my heels dug into his back, and the sound went out over the dark valley.

He did not let me go.

He kept his mouth on me through the aftershocks, and a second pleasure rose right behind the first.
