My Ex-Husband's New Wife Asked Me to Take Him Back novel · Chapter 24 of 24
Chapter 24: Stay
I woke on Christmas morning to snow light on the ceiling and the tree still glowing in the corner.
Gabe slept on his side, facing me, with one arm flung across the quilt.
His silver hair was flat on one side and standing up on the other.
He looked about nineteen.
I lay and watched him breathe for a long time.
Nobody had handed him to me, and nobody had taken him away.
I had walked toward this on my own two feet.
When he stirred, his eyes opened pale green and unfocused, and found me at once.
"You're here," he said.
"I live here."
"I know. I'm checking." He smiled slowly, with his whole face. "Item eight."
"Item eight was dinner."
"I'm adding a new one. Breakfast."
"You can't amend my list."
"I'm asking nicely."
"Come here, then," I said.
He moved across the bed, warm and heavy with sleep, and drew me against him.
There was no hurry in it.
He kissed my forehead, my eyelids, my mouth, with a drowsy thoroughness.
I ran my hands down his back and felt him wake under them.
He rolled me gently onto my back and settled between my thighs, his cock already hard and hot against my hip.
He guided the thick head of his cock through my wet folds and pushed deep into my pussy in the snow light, face to face, with the quilt over our shoulders and the sound of the lake outside.
