Chapter 20: Nobody Adding It Up

We didn't make it past the kitchen.

He locked the front door behind us, turned around, and I was already pulling his coat off his arms.

"Slowly," he said, against my mouth.

"No."

"Elisa."

"You made me wait two nights."

"You were busy winning."

I laughed into his kiss, and he lifted me by the backs of my thighs and set me on the long wooden table.

The records were still spread across it. He swept them aside with one arm, and the folders hit the floor.

I arched against him on the cold wood.

"Massimo."

"Say it again."

"Massimo, please."

He bit my nipple through my bra, then pulled the cup aside and took it into his mouth.

I buried my fingers in his hair.

He hooked his fingers in my underwear and drew it down my legs.

He dropped it on the floor.
